Member Recognition

Everything the Bumpass Volunteer Fire Department does — every structure fire, vehicle rescue, brush fire, and community event — is carried out by volunteers who give their nights, weekends, and holidays to protect their neighbors. This page honors that service. Department awards recognize years of service, lifesaving actions, and exceptional commitment, and each month the membership selects a Volunteer of the Month whose contributions stood out.

Recognition is reviewed and approved by the Fire Chief before publication, and honorees are announced at the department's monthly business meeting. If you'd like to be part of a crew like this, we're always looking for new volunteers — no experience needed, and all training is provided free.
