Call Volume
As an all-volunteer department protecting northeastern Louisa County and the Lake Anna area, BVFD responds to a wide range of emergencies around the clock. Our members train year-round to answer calls including:

Annual Reports
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, BVFD is committed to transparency and good stewardship of the community's support. Our operations, training, apparatus, and community programs are overseen by elected officers and reviewed at our monthly membership meetings. Residents with questions about the department's activities, finances, or records are welcome to contact us — annual summary reports are posted here as they are finalized.
Major Incident Recaps
From time to time we share sanitized recaps of notable incidents so the community can understand the work our volunteers do. Each recap is reviewed and approved by the Fire Chief before posting and never includes specific addresses, member or patient names, or operational details that could compromise safety or privacy. Follow us on Facebook for the latest department updates between recaps.
